Little Flippers Swim Lessons is a family-run backyard swim school in Lumberton, Texas. It offers private swim lessons ($180 per week, ages 6 months to adult) and small group classes ($100 per week, ages 3 and up), taught by Red Cross–certified Water Safety Instructors in a warm backyard pool. Miss Tina is an experienced Red Cross–certified Water Safety Instructor who recertifies every season — and the whole family teaches alongside her in the warm backyard pool. Small classes, familiar faces, and one goal: kids who are safe and confident in and around the water.

One-on-one time in the water with a certified Water Safety Instructor, paced entirely around your swimmer.

Season: May – July
Small, encouraging classes where kids build skills together — and show them off on watch day.
Private lessons run in 30-minute slots throughout the day (as early as 7 AM and as late as 8 PM in peak summer), by appointment.

Our policies keep every family’s pool time fair, safe, and fun.
Half of the lesson fee is due when you book; the remaining balance is due two weeks before your first class. Call or message us on Facebook to grab a spot.
Please give us two weeks’ notice so another family can take the slot.
If we cancel for weather, your class is made up on Friday at your same scheduled time.
Right on time, please — not early and not late. Classes run back-to-back, and each family’s time in the pool is protected.
A towel, sunscreen applied before you arrive, and a swim diaper if your swimmer isn’t potty-trained yet.
No dairy within 30 minutes of class time — it doesn’t mix well with swimming.
Only if they’re truly needed — and no styles with a nose piece. We teach comfort in the water first.
Around age 3, when they’re comfortable without a parent nearby and can follow simple instructions. Younger swimmers (from 6 months) start with private lessons.
